METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 200°c. grease a 6 cup capacity ovenproof dish.
  2. Cook pasta according to the directions on packet, drain, keep warm.
  3. Melt butter in pan, add garlic and onion and cook 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add flour, cook for 1 minute
  5. Add water, chicken stock powder, mixed herbs, crushed tomatoes, saltbush, mountain pepper, bush tomato and NESTLÉ CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk, bring to boil stirring constantly, remove from heat.
  6. Stir in pasta, chicken, celery, red capsicum, carrot, zucchini and mushrooms then spoon into prepared dish. top with cheese and bake 20-25 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
TIP:
Did You Know: Bush tomatoes have a distinctive raisin and caramel flavour with a strong spicy aftertaste, making it ideal for use when chopped into curries, salsas and as a crust on meat. Ground, it can be sprinkled on baked vegetables, into sauces and bread mixes. Try and ensure you are purchasing bush foods from Indigenous owned businesses.
