Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease and line base and sides of 19 cm square cake pan.

Combine butter and dark chocolate in a large saucepan. Stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Cool for 10 minutes.

Stir eggs into chocolate mixture, then flour. Fold through dark choc bits. Spoon mixture into prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 30 minutes or until brownie is just firm to touch.

Arrange KITKAT in a pattern over brownie, trimming to fit if necessary. Cool completely in pan. Turn out and cut into small squares to serve.
