METHOD

cut tops off pears (these will become lids) and core.

stand pears upright in a bamboo steamer or steamer insert.

fill each pear with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. place top portion back on top of each pear. cover and place steamer over a saucepan of simmering water. steam pears for 15-20 minutes or until soft.
