preheat oven to 180°c/160°c fan forced. grease and line a 20cm round cake pan.2. beat butter and sugar until light and creamy; beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. beat in plaistowe premium dark chocolate.

fold in sifted flour and NESTLÉ baking cocoa, alternatively with milk. spoon mixture into prepared pan. bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. remove from pan, cool on wire rack.

combine extra plaistowe premium dark chocolate and cream in a medium bowl; using electric beaters, beat until thick and creamy.

cut cake in half, sandwich cake with chocolate cream.
